As part of the Singapore Turf Club’s efforts to support the community, the Club has lent Riding for the Disabled Association of Singapore (RDA) the platform on Saturday 23rd January 2010 raceday to raise much needed funds. The RDA has raised over $80,000 from the event through the sale of donation lunch tables. The Guest-of-Honour was the New Zealand High Commissioner, His Excellency, Mr Martin Harvey, who presented the trophies for the RDA Cup, the main race that afternoon.

RDA relies solely on donations and fundraising events such as this to support our unique form of therapeutic riding programmes for people with disabilites. This is the third year that we partnered the Singapore Turf Club in this effort and we hope that we will be able to continue this event annually as one of our main fundraisers. Our special thanks must also go to our sponsors. In addition to the RDA Cup, other racing highlights that afternoon will be the Janice O’Connor Stakes, Clarkson Asia Stakes and the Barclays Capital Gallop.
RDA at the Races began at 12.30pm, with a buffet lunch and the races commenced at 12.45pm. Afternoon Tea was served at 4.30pm and the final race is at 6.30pm.
